Holt is a No Sign Parish

Holt is a no signage parish

It is often stated that Holt is a no signage parish, however what does this mean, this local rule was agreed by the Parish Council at a meeting over 5 years ago, it states that no commercial advertising posters or signs will be allowed to be displayed within the parish with the exception of the following:

• Signs advertising local community events, these must be removed by the event organiser’s as soon as the event has taken place.

• Signs approved by the Parish Council

• Signs approved for display by WCC Highways

• Signs advertising houses for sale where the kerbside signage is not visible from the road, these must be removed by the seller’s agent as soon as the property is sold, failure to do this will result in them being removed by the Parish Council.

  
  

All other signs will initially be requested to be removed by the organisation that has put them up, if not removed, they will be taken down by the Parish Council. If you have any queries related to this please contact the Parish Clerk.
